Fidgeting is a Sign of Intelligence

Now that there has been a sufficient amount of time since Drew last nagged me to update, I finally will.

I think I enjoy punishing myself.  Why else would I persist in trying to watch prime time television?  The only shows I can tolerate are meant for those less than half my age.  This morning, Rupert taught me a valuable lesson about friendship and time machines - complete with imaginative storyline, endearing characters, and PUNS.  A few minutes ago, CSI Miami taught me that people who play video games are creepy sociopaths who rob banks and urinate in bottles.  The only puns there came from the dude who's name I would know if I had been able to tolerate more than a few minutes.  And his heart just wasn't in it.

On an entirely unrelated note, I'll be recieving a spring break miracle in the form of my brother moving out.  I'd be a little more excited if my sister was going with him.  Oh well.  The fact that she JUST HIT ME aside, I've been getting along with her fairly well.  Though she JUST HIT ME.  Of course I obviously deserved it, as I did give her "that look".  If this was Harry Potter, they'd have to lock me up in Azkaban, so I guess I got off easy.

Hell, let's throw in one last unrelated note.  I think I might be a witch.  And I'll leave that thought incomplete, because that's what witches do.

Man, no wonder I never post.  What a waste of time.

Valentine's Day

Yes, it's commercialized.  That's simply the society we live in; to expect anything less is ludicrous.  But people really need to chill out about it, single or not.  Over the years, I've seen a lot of friends agonize over what to get their "special someone" (as Siavash has been known to put it) when really, if you have a strong relationship, that's what matters.  Gifts are nice, but that's all.  And then I've also seen a lot of single people walk around in a foul mood the whole day, bitching about every couple they see.  To which I say, grow up.

My opinion?  I love Valentine's.  Though not for the reason most girls do.

The advertisements are hilarious.  Like the guy on the radio for Spence Diamonds?  My hero.  And yesterday, I was in the mall and wandered past this display for Valentine's chocolates.  You know, the ones with the heart shaped box, all red and velvety with the pretty ribbon?  They were on sale, buy one get one half off.  Who the hell needs to buy two identical boxes of chocolates?  Buy some for your wife and hell, if you really want to save money, throw some in for your girlfriend too!

I'd throw something in about Harper's somewhat hypocritical cabinet appointments, but I'm too lazy.  Or faul.

I Posted

A moment ago, I was halfway through a masterpiece of an update.  I assure you, it was wildly interesting.  But then I realised I couldn't post it, for reasons beyond my control.  So this is just to let you know that I at least made the effort to post on my blog, in case I don't end up doing so for another month or whatever.  You know, just for the record.

I might not entirely suck at life!

I realise that this news is hardly believable when you consider the fact that I can't even update my blog regularly.  In fact, I'm only doing it now to uphold my "hunders" promise to Mark, and to keep Drew from listening to emo.  Because we know he can't survive without the light my blog brings to his dull, dull life.  Also, I don't feel like mathing, as I should be.  Whatever, the point is that my parents could actually have reason to be proud of one of their kids...though it's still a toss up between me and Brand.  We know Haley's out due to...recent events.

I've decided to consider potentially going to university next year.  The plan was always to take a year off, as I'm poor.  But the whole "not living with your parents while working a crappy job for a year" idea is starting to grow on me.  In fact, I'd apply right now, if it weren't for the fact that I want to apply for this apprenticeship thing at ATP.  So either I get this 35 week apprenticeship, or I get to go to school right away...hmm.

We'll see how it turns out.  I could still beat Brand.

In other news, I finally bought the soundtrack to RENT.  Expect to hear me singing annoying musical songs.

Also, I apologise for the crappy update.  The way I see it, you should all be so desperate to hear from me, that you'll settle for anything.  That's the plan, anyway.

There's only us, there's only this...
Forget regret, or life is yours to miss...

You Know What I Hate?

High school.

Or rather, people in high school who act like they're on the OC or something equally stupid.  I've known far too many of them.

Gangsters, Pirates, and the Russian Mafia

I saw Treasure Island at ATP today.  It was cute, nothing really spectacular.  But then, pirates can never be boring.

I also decorated my Christmas tree.  It looks stupendous, I assure you.  But this is because I become a bit obsessive in the decorating process, as ugly Christmas trees are like a personal insult.  Anyway, it looks good.  And there are some definite Christmasy vibes in my living room.  I was even arguing with my sister and everything.  Ah, the holidays.

Fifteen men on a dead man's chest...

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum...

Hey, look who updated!

Why, that appears to be me.  About time too.

Bad news, guys.  My blog has been infiltrated.  By which I mean, my dad now knows of its existence and decided he needs to read it.  Without telling me.  Except that he did tell me.  But that doesn't count.  Anyway, the point is, my days of making fun of my parents on here are over.  Ha.  Like I'll stop.

Hmm...it's been over a month since my last update.  Which means that there's far too much to talk about.  So instead, I'll not talk about anything, and leave you with this:  everyone needs to stop having birthdays.  WAAAY too many this week.

But Tasha is allowed to keep hers, because she had a December birthday first- well, I knew her first.  And Sarah is too, because she's my hero in life.  And Michelle is, because there's a Beatles song called Michelle.  And I guess Drew is too, because he reads this.

That is all.

What a waste of a post.

Slackers

Time: 18:05
First trick-or-treaters of the evening.  They were so unenthusiastic...stupid brats.  They didn't even yell "trick or treat".  What's Halloween without strange kids yelling at me?  In my day, I had to SING before they'd give me anything...kids today, eh?  I also have a sneaking suspicion that I'll run out of candy within an hour.  I can only hope the kids I babysit will come while I still have some, or things could get ugly come Saturday night.  I'm very worried about retribution.  And I stubbed my toe running upstairs.

Whining aside, I love Halloween.  More than that, I love being treated like a grade two kid.  Today's art class consisted of drawing jack o' lanterns while drinking hot chocolate and eating cookies.  Three cheers for Ms. Colwell.

So.  Gomery report coming soon.  Should be interesting, sick as I am from hearing about the whole thing.  I'll have to find time to skim it, between school, my first day of NaNoing, and Matt Good (yay!).

Aw.  Mya was dressed up as a unicorn.  And Carter seems to have ditched the rapper idea for some generic scary mask.  Just thought you'd like to know.

I guess we're onto blog #3, if you count the one I had for about three hours, while locked in the band room. Hopefully this one will last.
